Infrastructure

Hyderabad Karnataka Minerals & Chemicals was established in2007 as a small scale unit to manufacture resin coated sand for the foundry industry. This quality conscious and enterprising unit is a proprietorship from owned by:

Mr. Md. Mazhar. S. Choudri. B.E(Mech)

Laboratory Facilities

Well equipped lab to check all critical properties of in coming raw material & finished products via sieve shaker, Hot and cold tensile strength Testing M/c, Transverse strength, core gas determinater, peel back, Build up Stick point tester.

Grades

Resin Coated Sand

This is a range of a Resin Coated Send used in production of cores & moulds by shell process with superb hot strength. It is prepared form high grade Quartz sand, Silica sand, Ceramic sand, Chromite, Zircon sand by procoating it with phenol – formaldehyde (PF) resin and catalyst. This resin - coated sand is very smooth, free flowing and dry with good resistance to moisture.

Grades for non-ferrous casting

Our product line for various non ferrous casting such as cylinder head, cylinder block, water jacket manifold and hollow pipes with good surface finish and excellent collapsibility.

Highlights of Resin Coated Sand

  • Silica Content in our Quartz is 99.2% and above.
  • We can give Resin coated sand from 40AFS to 120AFS
  • We can give 80 to 85% of RCS in 3 sieves distribution for better surface
  • finish & improved collapsibility.
  • Sand has very good flowability
  • There is through curing of cores
  • During pouring it will withstand thermal shock and the moulds will not crack during pouring
  • The ejection of the moulds is smooth & there are no Sub surface cracks in the mould
  • Low gas & low Nitrogen content
  • Good collapsibility for aluminum casting
